SK Steak & Oyster
A refined brand identity and collateral foregrounds a new breed of Brisbane restaurant: an iconic Hollywood-style grill, reinterpreted on the other side of the Pacific.
SK Steak & Oyster invokes a dining experience from the golden era: a long lunch and a few too many martinis. Think Musso and Frank Grill on Hollywood Boulevard, or Sinatra on holidays in Palm Springs, but transported to balmy Queensland.
Tempered by a moody palette of black, deep green, and a contrasting, crisp white, SK is a unique venue whose ambience and aesthetic is distilled in its accompanying brand identity and collateral.
Granite, utilised internally for the stunning central bar, is echoed in the laser-cut, street front signage — communicating a focus on detail and sense of craftsmanship upon arrival.
Lighter tones are offset with timeless black leather menus with blind debossed detailing — echoing the distinct sheen of the baby grand piano at the venue’s heart.
Recalling the discreteness of a private club, SK balances this quality of privacy with one of invitation — extending its offering to a broader audience of corporate and avid diners seeking a unique, unparalleled dining experience.
