Poolside Attraction
As an extension of The Calile Hotel’s cultural programming and commitment to creative collaboration, we — together with our project partners New Initiative — engaged LA-based film director Scottie Cameron to create a short film for the hotel.
Titled Poolside Attraction, the film was inspired by a universal challenge faced by hotels with a desirable poolside offering: the coveted sun lounger. In this playful take, an unexpected romance unfolds between a guest and an overly clingy chair, offering a fresh, imaginative glimpse into the hotel — without resorting to a conventional tourism narrative.
Told without dialogue, the film leans into humour and Scottie’s signature whimsical visual style to engage both local and international audiences.
